Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the RunPT application or visiting our website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Burre Nacho AB (org. no. 559499-3643), Lundagatan 46, 117 27 Stockholm, Sweden ("we," "us," or "our").

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, and with any additional terms shown to you with a specific offer, such as a promotional code. If offer terms conflict with these Terms, the offer terms apply to that offer.

RunPT is a personal running coach app that provides personalized daily training suggestions, weekly training plans, workout analysis, and conversational coaching. Its coaching system uses AI to interpret training and available recovery data and recommend changes. The Service integrates with Apple HealthKit and supported third-party fitness platforms listed on our Integrations page.

Changes to the Service

We keep developing RunPT, so features, integrations, and the way coaching works change over time. We may add, change, or remove features for valid reasons, such as improving the Service, security, legal requirements, or changes made by a platform we depend on. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel and request a refund from Apple under its refund policy.

Pre-release versions

We may offer beta or other pre-release versions of RunPT, for example through Apple TestFlight. Pre-release versions are for testing, may be incomplete or contain errors, and may change or stop being available at any time. Builds installed through TestFlight are also subject to Apple's TestFlight terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

Your account is personal. Use it only for your own training, do not share it, and do not create an account for someone else. Only connect devices and platform accounts that belong to you, and only enter your own health information. If you think someone else has accessed your account, tell us promptly at support@runpt.app.

RunPT's coach is an AI

Plans, workout feedback, adjustments, and chat replies are generated by AI models (currently provided by OpenAI), not written or checked in real time by a human coach. AI can make mistakes: it can misread your data, miss context you have not shared, or state something incorrect with confidence. Check each suggestion against how you feel. You can ignore, change, or question any suggestion, and you can tell the coach about pain, illness, or anything else that should change your training.

Exercise carries risk

Running and other exercise carry an inherent risk of injury and illness and, rarely, serious medical events. You decide whether, when, and how hard to train. Talk to a doctor before starting or significantly changing your training, particularly if you are pregnant or have recently given birth, have a heart, lung, or metabolic condition or high blood pressure, are returning from injury or illness, or take medication that affects your heart rate. Stop and seek medical help if you feel chest pain, faintness, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or pain that does not settle.

Device data is an estimate

Heart rate, GPS, sleep, HRV, and other readings from phones, watches, and connected platforms are estimates and can be wrong. Coaching based on them can inherit those errors, so use your own judgement when a reading or a suggestion seems off.

Not an emergency service

RunPT does not monitor you in real time and cannot detect or respond to a medical emergency. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Train safely

Stay aware of traffic, terrain, weather, and your surroundings, follow local laws, and do not look at or use your phone or watch when it is not safe to do so. Weather and route information in RunPT is for guidance only and may be inaccurate.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (see Section 12).

If you grant RunPT access to Apple HealthKit, we read your health and fitness data solely to provide personalized coaching. If you use the RunPT Apple Watch app and grant write permission, RunPT also records your completed workouts, workout metrics, optional GPS routes, and effort ratings in HealthKit. HealthKit data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Apple's HealthKit guidelines. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device's Settings.

Some features require RunPT Premium, a paid subscription. The app shows what Premium includes, the price, and the billing period before you buy. In-app subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, and payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends
• Free trials: Where a free trial is offered, it is available once per Apple Account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription at the price shown when you started it. If you buy a subscription during a trial, the rest of the trial ends
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your RunPT account does not cancel an App Store subscription
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple under its refund policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also have a right to cancel a purchase within 14 days under Apple's terms and applicable law, which you exercise through Apple
• Price changes: If we change the price of a subscription you already have, Apple will notify you in advance in accordance with App Store rules. Where those rules or applicable law require your affirmative consent to the new price, your subscription will not renew at the new price unless you agree to it; otherwise you may cancel before the new price takes effect

Referral program

You can share a personal referral link or code from the app. A friend who applies your code in the app can claim a one-time App Store offer for their first month of RunPT Premium free. Apple's terms apply to that offer, and after the free month the subscription renews at the standard price unless your friend cancels at least 24 hours before it ends.

• A referral is verified when a friend who applied your code activates RunPT Premium within 30 days of applying it. Up to 10 referrals can be verified per calendar month
• The rewards, and how many verified referrals each requires, are shown in the app. Currently they are an exclusive app icon and three months of RunPT Premium
• Premium time earned as a reward is added to your account. It does not pause or refund an App Store subscription you already pay for
• You cannot use your own code. Do not create fake accounts, send spam, or misrepresent RunPT or the offer when sharing your link. If referrals are made in bad faith or against the intent of the program, we may withhold or remove the related rewards
• We may change or end the program for future referrals. Changes do not take away rewards you have already redeemed, and we will give reasonable notice before unredeemed rewards stop being available

Promotional codes

We or our partners may offer codes that unlock RunPT Premium or other benefits, on the terms shown with the code, for example how long the benefit lasts. Each account can apply one RunPT code, whether a referral or a promotional code. Codes and rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred, and may expire.

"User Content" includes chat messages, images, optional post-workout notes, and any other content you submit through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit your User Content solely to provide the Service to you: displaying it in your account, keeping your training history, and sending the relevant parts to our AI provider to generate your coaching, as described in the Privacy Policy. This license does not permit us to use your User Content, imported platform data, or coaching content to train or fine-tune AI models, for advertising, or in any way that conflicts with the Privacy Policy, your consent choices, or the terms of the platform the data came from. Data imported from Apple Health or a connected fitness platform is not User Content; it is handled under Section 9 and the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions about RunPT, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without payment or other obligation to you. This covers the idea itself, not your personal data, training data, or User Content, which remain governed by this section and the Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
• Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization
• Use someone else's account, connect a device or platform account that is not yours, or enter another person's health information
• Try to make the AI coach bypass its safeguards, for example through prompt injection, or use it to produce unlawful or dangerous content
• Upload images or other content you do not have the right to share, or that contains other people's personal data without their permission
• Use RunPT's software, content, or outputs to build a competing product or to train AI models
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the Service
• Abuse the referral program or promotional codes (Section 6)

The Service integrates with Apple Health and the supported third-party fitness platforms listed on our Integrations page, as well as Google Sign-In. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

You may connect or disconnect third-party integrations at any time through the app settings or from the third party's own account settings. Disconnecting stops new data flowing to RunPT; data already imported stays in your training history unless you delete it (see the Privacy Policy). You must only connect accounts you are entitled to use and must not use RunPT to extract, redistribute, or commercially exploit data from a connected platform.

Integrations depend on the third party continuing to offer access. A platform can change, limit, or end its connection with RunPT, and some data is not available for every device. If an integration you rely on stops working, we will tell you in the app, and if this materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, you may cancel and request a refund from Apple under its refund policy.

When you share a share card, image, or export outside RunPT, for example to social media or a messaging app, the receiving service's terms and privacy policy apply to what you share.

Garmin

If you connect Garmin Connect, RunPT receives your data directly from Garmin Connect under Garmin's developer program. Garmin is not a party to these Terms, does not provide the Service, and is not responsible for RunPT, its coaching, or its handling of your data. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Garmin and its affiliates have no liability to you arising from your use of RunPT, and Garmin is an intended beneficiary of the disclaimers and limitations in Sections 12 and 13. Your use of Garmin Connect and Garmin devices remains governed by Garmin's own terms and privacy policy. RunPT uses Garmin data only to provide your coaching as described in the Privacy Policy, does not sell it, and does not use it for advertising or to train AI models. If you enable sending planned workouts to your Garmin device, you authorise RunPT to write those sessions to your Garmin Connect account; you can revoke RunPT's access in Garmin Connect at any time.

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Optional app analytics and website analytics require separate choices and are not a condition of using RunPT. Rejecting or later withdrawing optional analytics does not reduce your access to coaching or other Service functionality.

We send service messages about your account, security, subscription, referral rewards, and changes to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, in the app, as push notifications if you allow them, or by email. These messages are part of the Service. We send marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

The Service, including its design, software, features, branding, and content (excluding User Content and data imported from third-party platforms), is owned by Burre Nacho AB or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. The AI models used to generate coaching are owned by their respective providers (currently OpenAI) and are made available to us under license; RunPT does not claim ownership of them.

Third-party names and marks belong to their owners, and their use in RunPT does not mean those owners endorse RunPT. Garmin®, the Garmin logo, and Garmin Connect™ are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. Apple, the Apple logo, Apple Watch, iPhone, and HealthKit are trademarks of Apple Inc., and App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. COROS, Polar, and Suunto are trademarks of their respective owners.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

You retain all rights to your personal data and User Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your data to us.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI coaching suggestions will be accurate or suitable for your needs
• Training decisions are yours. We are not liable for injuries, health issues, or losses that result from your decision to follow, adapt, or ignore a coaching suggestion, or from your failure to seek medical advice, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim and USD 50
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms reduces them.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate Burre Nacho AB, its officers, directors, and employees for claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party that arise from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Service, or User Content you submit that infringes a third party's rights. This does not apply to ordinary, lawful use of the Service, and it does not apply to claims caused by our own breach, negligence, or wilful misconduct.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple Account settings (Section 6).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, use the Service unlawfully or abusively, or if we are required to by law or by a platform we depend on. We will give you reasonable notice and, where the problem can be fixed, an opportunity to fix it, unless the breach is serious or notice would be unlawful or impractical. We may also discontinue the Service or a feature with at least 30 days' notice; if you have a paid subscription covering that period, you may request a refund from Apple under its refund policy.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive termination.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@runpt.app so we can try to resolve it with you. This does not limit your right to bring a dispute to ARN or a court as described below.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence continue to apply and you may bring proceedings there.

Swedish consumers may ask the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) to review an eligible dispute at arn.se.

California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app or on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice (e.g., in-app notification or email).

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you may end these Terms at any time before it takes effect by deleting your account; if the change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, you may cancel it and request a refund from Apple under its refund policy.

If you downloaded RunPT from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are between you and Burre Nacho AB, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the RunPT app and its content
• Your license to use the app is a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing. Nothing in these Terms overrides those Usage Rules
• We are solely responsible for maintenance and support of the app, as described in these Terms or required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed or limited under these Terms
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws, including in connection with HealthKit
• If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your mobile data plan, when using the app
• Questions, complaints, or claims about the app should be sent to us using the contact details in Section 19
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary

If you download RunPT from another app store, such as Google Play once available, that store's terms also apply to your download, and that store is not responsible for RunPT.

• Entire agreement: These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any offer terms shown with a specific offer are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service
• Severability: If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect
• No waiver: If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later
• Transfer: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another company, for example as part of a merger or sale of our business, if this does not reduce your rights under these Terms. We will tell you if this happens
• Events outside our control: We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as widespread internet or power failures, natural disasters, or actions of public authorities, provided we take reasonable steps to limit their effect. This does not affect your mandatory consumer rights
• Third-party rights: Apple (Section 17) and Garmin (Section 9) may rely on and enforce the provisions of these Terms that are stated to benefit them. Otherwise, only you and we have rights under these Terms
• Notices: We may send you notices under these Terms in the app or to the email address linked to your account. You can send notices to us at support@runpt.app
• Language: These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies if they conflict, to the extent permitted by law
