Why RunPT exists
A good coach should notice the training that happened.
Running plans often begin with a clean calendar. Training rarely stays that clean. Work changes, a long run lands differently than expected, recovery varies, and some weeks simply do not unfold as planned.
RunPT is built around a simple product belief: the plan should remain connected to the runner's actual training. That means respecting constraints, reviewing completed work, using available recovery signals carefully, and changing upcoming sessions only when the evidence supports it.
Product principles
Clear enough to understand. Measured enough to trust.
We describe the product in runner language: a personalized plan, clear workout guidance, explanations for important decisions, and measured adjustments based on the training that actually happens.
Deeper detail is available when it helps, including training phases, completed-workout review, available recovery context, conversational AI coaching, and integrations whose directions are listed openly.
We do not promise guaranteed race outcomes, medical judgement, injury prevention, or a dramatic calendar rewrite after every run. When a fact cannot be verified and maintained, it does not belong in the claim.
- Respect the runner's real weekly constraints
- Explain the purpose behind a session or update
- Treat missing recovery data neutrally
- Keep predictions qualified by evidence and confidence
- Prefer a stable valid plan over unnecessary motion
